I often find that vegan appetizers fit for a serving tray can be one of the hardest foods to create, so hopefully if you’re in the market, this option finds you excited and satisfied!
This just happens to be one of my favorites snacks and a go-to meal when I want to eat something light and bite-size that is packed full of nutrients and taste. I’m not sure about you, but I tend to either get cravings for bite-size foods or those you eat with a fork. I swear sometimes I am more oriented toward how I want to be eating my food than what I am actually eating. (Strange?)
In addition to the fun I experience with devouring finger foods, this is also a recipe that takes about 15 minutes to from start to finish and has just 6 ingredients, most of which you probably have on stock at this moment, and is packed with 50 grams of lean protein and is scrumptious to no end!
1 Package of Seitan
1 Large Cucumber
1/4 to 1/2 Cup Chili Sauce (depending on preference)
1/8 Cup Black Roasted Sesame Seeds
White Sesame Seeds for Sprinkling
Oil for Sauteing
Instructions
1. Heat up the pan with a tablespoon of oil
2. Add the Seitan
3. Cook until slightly crisp and golden brown
4. Add the Chili Sauce
5. Add the Black Roasted Sesame Seeds and Mix thoroughly
6. Remove from pan and top Seitan mixture to sliced cucumbers
7. Sprinkle topped bites with white sesame seeds and enjoy!
